Our Mission

InnoVet is focused on providing the most sophisticated digital engineering solutions. By joining open-source collaborative MBSE software with an iterative facilitated process, InnoVet can accelerate projects, reduce costs, and improve project outcomes. InnoVet's models are built with custom analytics providing a digital engineering automation layer enabling reference architecture validation, digital thread auditing, and Authoritative Sources of Truth (ASoT) traceability. InnoVet’s software is fielded on government-compliant CUI cloud so that data remains accessible and secure with traceable audit logs with a backend rest API for integrations. The capability integrates teams and products at any point in their digital transformation journey. InnoVet supports not replaces the customer’s current technology by combining cross-functional data and analysis for the decision-maker.

Peter Millius

President

Peter is a distinguished serial entrepreneur, who has consistently directed his efforts towards pioneering new technologies, emphasizing three fundamental principles: accountability, complex problem-solving, and streamlining operational objectives. Additionally, Peter has experience working on music projects, technology, and patents. Peter founded InnoVet intending to build teams of military veterans to solve challenging problems for the Department of Defense using an agile model-based systems engineering approach.

Joseph Slupski

Chief Executive Officer

Joe is a retired USAF officer who has experience piloting fighter aircraft and actively participating in combat operations worldwide. He played a pivotal role in the implementation of the MQ-9, serving as a pilot for developmental and weapons testing, and contributing to the establishment of the initial cadre. He was the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Subject Matter Expert at the 1st Air Force Headquarters (NORAD/NORTHCOM) and presently holds the position of instructor at Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training.

Mike McGuire

Chief Operating Officer

Mike is a seasoned operations leader and software strategist with nearly 20 years of experience designing and delivering scalable, high-performance platforms. He has led the development of complex, AI-enabled systems and resilient network architectures supporting critical public-sector and enterprise applications. Mike has worked closely with government agencies, aligning software solutions with mission-driven requirements in security, infrastructure, and operations. Renowned for his clear communication and cross-functional leadership, he drives product strategy and engineering execution, translating technical complexity into practical, actionable outcomes that support scalability, reliability, and innovation.

Ian Patton

Chief Technology Officer

Ian brings over 25 years of experience across the full spectrum of production software delivery. He began his career building scalable, highly available Linux-based systems for email, databases, and applications. Over time, he transitioned into application development and software architecture, deepening his expertise in designing robust, scalable solutions. Ian has held Lead Developer and Software Architect roles at major enterprises including ADP and CNN, and in recent years has focused on entrepreneurship and technology leadership at startups. His passion for staying on the cutting edge of technology—and his love for the craft of software development—continues to drive his work as a technical leader.

Ryan Chmielewski

Ryan a retired USAF Lieutenant Colonel and combat experienced officer and aviator. He led Air Force Global Strike Command’s Portfolio-level Digital Engineering Platform implementing data modernization, cross-functional risk modeling, and rapid software acquisition. Ryan is a transformative leader with world-wide experience in multi-domain and cross-cultural problem solving, he brings a unique blend of academic and operational experience to system design and thinking.

David Sullivan

David is a retired USAF Col who commanded the first squadron qualified to fly the MQ-9 Reaper in combat.  Served as Deputy Dir. & Dir. of Ops of the White House Situation Room; Airborne ISR Division Chief for the USAF Deputy Chief of Staff for Intel; US Liaison for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs to the NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation; and Pentagon Liaison for the US Military Representative to the NATO Military Committee.
